Introduction Canvas Gateway Within the Canvas Device Manager system, gateways are both manageable devices (via LwM2M) and also bridge management capabilities to nearby Canvas DM endpoint devices (e.g., wireless sensors). The example below shows a Laird Connectivity Sentrius MG100 cellular gateway configured to manage a set of Sentrius BT510 and Sentrius BT610 devices in a cold chain monitoring application. Canvas Gateway Firmware The Canvas Gateway Firmware component implements both device management (LwM2M) and telemetry (MQTT) capabilities allowing easy deployment and management of compatible wireless sensor networks with a few simple configuration steps. This firmware includes compatibility with Laird Connectivity BLE sensors and can be extended to support custom sensors using its Zephyr RTOS based build environment. If preferred, there is also an option to make sensor telemetry data available via LwM2M. Contact Laird Connectivity Support if you are interested in this option.
